LSA 2020 Annual Meeting travel grants and Native American Language Revitalization Legislation (action alert)

The LSA is pleased to issue the official call for applications to students interested in attending its Annual Meeting via the CEDL Travel Award Program. The travel awards are sponsored by the LSA’s Committee on Ethnic Diversity in Linguistics (CEDL).

This year the LSA CEDL is awarding up to six student travel grants intended to increase the participation of underrepresented ethnoracial minorities in the LSA. Each grant (maximum $1000) will assist students in traveling to the 2020 LSA Annual Conference in New Orleans, LA.

Current students with and without accepted abstracts may apply for one of two types of travel grants:1) for graduate students who have not yet completed their linguistics degree program; or 2) for undergraduates who want to pursue a linguistics graduate degree.  The application deadline is Saturday, November 9, 2019.

You may contact the committee at if you have any questions or concerns.
